WELCOME to Docent Research Group.

Our Mission:  to provide excellent customized sermon research for pastors.

We provide pastors with customized sermon research briefs generated fresh each week. The research is conducted by a team of seminary trained researchers. 

We do not write sermons. That is the pastor's job. Rather, we provide research briefs based on the pastor's specific instructions.

The pastor specifies what he needs, and the Docent research team tailors its work exactly to the pastor’s instructions each week. In general, our briefs include exegetical, theological and cultural analysis, illustrations and applications. 

If you need a book or books read, illustrations tracked down, theological reflections crafted, Docent researchers do these and more.

If you would benefit from a sounding board and/or consultation about specifically connecting your thoughts to your congregation, Docent Team Captains are there to serve.
